Prelude to the Te Deum - Charpentier

The trumpet issues a summons in this lively march.
Notes
The words "Te Deum" mean "We praise thee, O God" - a church canticle. This instrumental movement is the prelude, so it is impressive and showy, as well as tuneful.

Duration
to follow

With any of the bridal entrance marches, any good organist will cut the piece to length, so that the bride is not standing for an unnecessarily long time at the front of the church.
