Classical Blackbird logo by Celia de Villiers
The God Apollo and his black bird (Greek 5th century BCE
The painting for the logo is by Celia de Villiers, and is a re-imagining of the black bird that perches near the God Apollo as he offers a libation while holding a tortoise-shell lyre. The picture is found on a 5th-century BCE drinking cup (kylix), preserved in the Archaeological Museum of Delphi.
