Full Title Grand March from ‘Aida’ by Giuseppe Verdi (1813 – 1901)

Notes Verdi's opera Aida was commissioned in 1869 to celebrate the completion of the Cairo Opera House and the Suez Canal. This march, from scene two of the second act, presents the fanfare and splendor of the victorious army headed by Radames as it passes in review before the pharaoh after defeating the Ethiopian army.
